Both of them look pretty shabby. His beard is uneven & scruffy, & her hair is frizzy. They both have wrinkles on their forehead's as if they're amused. In one of her hands she clenches a rag, & his hand protectively cups hers. Her other hand is tensed up & the fingers spread in a grotesque manner. They look exhausted & beaten down as they stand in front of a shack.
The photo of the two children:
A young boy & girl, probably brother & sister, squat in the dirt in front of their tent playing with the pebbles. Their clothes are ragged & their skin seems to be caked with dust. The boy however, is looking up, smiling at the camera. Behind them is a cloth tent with a woman's face peering through the opening. Rusty pots & metal tubs litter the surroundings, & twigs from a dead leafless tree bends in the background.

Their hands & arms bandaged, their coats splotched & hat rims tattered, while they stand nearly on top of one another. Sitting behind a desk is a well dressed man writing on paper, while the other wait earnestly, watching him closely. Their facial expressions are desperate, staring as if they don't ever blink. The only man smiling is one holding a paper.
